π Serious Incident in Swanley β Community UpdateKent Police responded to a serious incident in Swanley on the evening of Thursday 7th May 2026, involving a reported theft and a subsequent road traffic collision (RTC). The incident began in the Cherry Avenue area (CAD 07-1714), where a motorbike was reported stolen during a disturbance involving several individuals. A short time later, a collision occurred on St Maryβs Road (CAD 07-1727), involving the reported stolen motorbike and another vehicle. Kent Police attended the scene with other emergency services alongside Kent Fire and Rescue and the South East Coast Ambulance Service. One individual sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital. Arrests have been made in connection with this incident, and enquiries remain ongoing. π§ Scene Preservation β Why It MattersWe understand that road closures and police cordons can cause disruption and inconvenience, particularly in busy residential areas. However, these measures are absolutely vital in incidents of this nature.
